As of now we have done very little research. What we have done has been on line and some oral histories. I have traced the Mateers to my Great-Grand Father Robert Mateer who immigrated to the US in 1888, with wife, Mary Glade, and four children. The four children were Mary (16), Ellen (11), Agnes (9), and Johnny (My grandfather - 6). They arrived in the Port Of New York on 15 March 1888, from Larne, Ireland. |
